也许有人会说，嘴中常常念叨着家乡话怎么了，书写时错一个字又算什么。那些不会说普通话的中国人不是照样生活，照样与人交流吗？而我想说的是，如今普通话已经和我们的祖国一样，在国际上占有越来越显著的地位。它成了联合国六种工作语言之一，成了香港、澳门同胞争相学习的热门语言。不说港澳人民，连外国人都热衷于学习普通话，我们又有什么理由不去好好学习我们的本土语言呢？

我想在我开始国旗下讲话之前，先问同学们一个问题,看看哪个班的同学答得最响亮、最整齐。“世界上使用最广泛的是哪种语言？“……”，那世界上使用人数最多的语言又是哪一种语言呢？“……”，“对，是汉语”。刚才，同学们响亮的回答，分明透着几分自豪。因为，我们是中国人，因为，汉语是我们的母语。我们自豪，世界每5个人中就有1个人说汉语，试想世界上还能有哪一种语言能像汉语一样能如此被广泛使用？！
老师们、同学们：经国务院批准，自1998年起，每年九月份的第三周为推普周。今年的9月15日至21日，是第十七届全国推普周，本次推普周的主题是“说好普通话，圆梦你我他。”。
我们伟大的祖国约960万平方千米的土地上，生活着56个民族。大多数民族都有自己的语言，这给我们的生活和交往带来很多的不便。比如，广西籍主持人宣布会议“开始”，大家听的是“该死”，全场愕然；列车广播员分不清“常州”和“沧州”，害得旅客下错了车。你们看，语言不通，不仅闹笑话,还给生活带来了许多的不方便。所以，我们要讲普通话，推广普通话。
