Facing this audience on the stage, I have the exciting feeling of participating in the march of history, for what we are facing today is more than a mere competition or contest. One day before the final exam, she came up to me and said, Could you please explain this to me? I want very much to do better this time. I started explaining, and finished in a hurry. Pretending not to notice her still confused eyes, I ran off quickly. Nat surprisingly, she again did very badly in the exam. And two months later, at the beginning of the new semester, word came of her death of blood cancer. No one ever knew about the little task I failed to fulfill, but I couldnt forgive myself. I simply couldnt forget her eyes, which seem to be asking, Why didnt you do a little more to help me, when it was so easy for you? Why didnt you understand a little better the trust placed in you, so that I would not have to leave this world in such pain and regret?
I was about eight or nine years old at that time, but in a way it was the very starting point of my life, for I began to understand the word responsibility and to learn to always do my duties faithfully and devotedly, for the implications of that sacred word has dawned on me: the mutual need and trust of people, the co-operation and inter-reliance which are the very foundation of human society.
Later in my life, I continued to experience many failures. But never again did I feel that regret which struck me at the death of the girl, for it makes my heart satisfied to think that I have always done everything in my power to fulfill my responsibilities as best I can.
As I grew up, changed and improved by this incident and many other similar ones, I began to perceive the changes taking place around me and to find that society, in a way, was in its formative years like myself. New buildings, new commodities and new fashions appear every day.
New ideas, new information, new technologies. People can talk with each other from any corner of the earth in a matter of seconds. Society is becoming more competitive.
Words like individuality and creativity are getting more emphasis and more people are rewarded for their hard work and efforts. Such is the era in which this generation ,grows and matures.
Such is the era in which this generation will take over the nation from our fathers and learn to run it. Yet in the meantime, many problems still exist.
We learn that crimes take place in broad daylight with crowds of people looking on and not assisting. We hear that there are still about 1 million children in this country who cant even afford to go to elementary schools while enormous sums of money are being squandered away on dinner parties and luxury cars.
We buy shoddy medicines, or merely worthless junk in the name of medicines, that aggravate, rather than alleviate our diseases since money, many people believe, is the most important thing in the world that must be made, even at the expense of morality and responsibility.
Such an era, therefore, determines that we are a generation with a keener sense of competition and efficiency and a greater readiness to think critically and act creatively.
Such an era, furthermore, demands, that we are a generation with a clear perception of our historical responsibility and an aggressive will to take action and solve the problems. History has long been preparing these qualities in this generation and it is now calling us forward to give testimony to our patriotism and heroism towards this nation and all humanity.
Standing here now, I think of the past 15 years of my life as an ordinary student. Probably Ill be an ordinary man for the rest of my life. But this doesnt discourage me any, for I know that with my sense of responsibility and devoted efforts to always strive, for the best, its going to be a meaningful and worthwhile life that I will be living.
Standing here now, I think of the past 15 years of this nation, which has achieved greatness that inspired millions of people of my age, most of whom will not attain fame or prestige and only a few of whom will be remembered by posterity. 期中成绩是同学们半个学期以来的努力成果，但是，考试成绩只能代表过去。成绩不理想的同学，如果能发奋努力，一定会迎头赶上。一次考试成绩算不了什么，重要的是不断拼搏，争取更好的成绩。一次次的考试，一次次的检验，可以让我们看清自己的不足之处，改正自己的缺点，使我们今后更加努力，使自己的成绩更加进步，但我们还必须有三盏指明方向的灯，那就是－－－态度、目标、勤奋！
态度决定一切。调整心态，以愉快的心情投入到紧张的学习环境中。并善于在学习的过程中体验获取知识的快乐，体验克服困难的快乐，体验取得成功的快乐。
目标是前进的灯塔。没有目标就像大海中迷失方向的航船不能达到彼岸。最终的总体目标，是由一个个简单的具体目标逐步递进而实现的。因此，每一个阶段性目标的实现都关系到总体目标的实现。所以，请同学们一定要确定自己的努力方向和适当的近期目标。在不断的超越中，成长自我，成就自我。
勤奋是成功的阶梯。“书山有路勤为径”，学真本领，就得刻苦勤奋的耕耘。不勤奋，理想永远都是梦想和幻想。勤奋并非只是简单的忙忙碌碌，更需要思考和反思。有的同学终日勤奋劳苦的学习，却没有明显的进步。我想原因也许是因为缺少思考和反思吧。所以，我们要从忙中偷闲，时时反思自己的缺点，力求一份耕耘两份收获。
一次考试并不是句号，更不是人生的全部。成功道路上有风和日丽的日子，也有阴雨连绵的岁月。你不能改变容貌，却可以展现甜美的笑容，你不能改变世界，却可以改变自己。从暂时的喜悦中走出来，从暂时的沮丧中走出来，做到胜不骄，败不馁。

我最喜欢看的书是《爱的教育》，本书讲述一个叫安利柯的小男孩成长的故事，建记录了他一年之内在学校、家庭、社会的所见所闻，字里行间洋溢着对祖国、父母、师长、朋友的真挚的爱，有着感人肺腑的力量。
文章中孩子们所表现的更多的是闪光的美德，这正是小说颂扬的地方。小说记录了长辈们对孩子的教育和启示，附在日记后面还以第二人称写了他们呕心沥血的教子篇。这本小说在漫长的岁月里，它陪伴一代又一代的孩子成长。可以说，这是一本永远不会过时的书。它用爱塑造人，引导我们永远保持一颗勇于进取而善良真诚的心，爱祖国，爱人民，同情人民的一切不幸与苦难。
我认为《爱的教育》虽然讲的是情感教育，却洋溢着对生活，对大自然的热爱，充满乐观向上的精神。在阅读时好似把我带入了广阔的社会中去，它真是让我懂得了许多课本上学不到的东西。每个故事都讲述了那些朋友的友谊和宁肯牺牲自己的高贵品质激励着一代又一代的少年儿童。爱可以比成很多东西，确是这样又不仅仅是这些。我想，“爱是什么”不会有明确的答案，但我已经完成了对于爱的思考——爱是博大的，无穷的，伟大的力量。

这个月是四月份，你们知道吗？四月可是一个不同寻常的月份。4月2日，是丹麦童话大师安徒生的诞辰日，1967年国际儿童读物联盟把这一天定为“国际儿童图书日”，以唤起人们对于读书的热爱和对儿童图书的关注。而今天，也就是4月23日，又是每年一度的世界图书和版权日，也就是我们常说的“世界读书日”。
因为同在1616年4月23日这一天，三位世界级的文学大师去世，他们分别是：英国著名戏剧大师莎士比亚、西班牙作家塞万提斯和另一位剧作家维加。人们为了纪念这些文学巨匠，1995年，联合国教科文组织就将每年的4月23日正式定为“世界图书和版权日”，并在1996年更名为“世界读书日”，以此鼓励人们，特别是年轻人去读书。

大家早上好！今天，我讲话的题目是：阅读，让生活更好。再过几天，4月23日，就是世界读书日。1995年，联合国教科文组织宣布4月23日为"世界读书日"。1616年4月23日，两位世界文学巨匠，西班牙作家塞万提斯和英国作家莎士比亚，在同一天辞世，"世界读书日"设在这一天很有纪念意义。近年来，阅读在全世界受到越来越多的关注，这是为什么？
于国家民族而言，阅读的作用重大。一个爱读书的民族，也一定是富有创新精神和发展潜力的民族。今天，我们正在建设创新型国家和学习型社会，走在实现中华民族伟大复兴中国梦的征途上，大力倡导建设“书香社会”、“书香社区”、“书香校园”、“书香家庭”，推进全民阅读，我觉得意义非凡。
于个人而言，我认为多读书至少有三点好处：
一是多读书可以长知识，增才干。汉代学者刘向说“书犹药也，善读之可以医愚。不吃饭则饥，不读书则愚”。广阔无边的星空宇宙、神奇美丽的自然世界、神秘漫长的人类进化、系统复杂的社会变迁……书中知识包罗万象。读书能够增长见识，开阔眼界，明白事理，增强能力。
二是多读书可以养性情，强自信。博大精深的唐诗宋词、浩如烟海的历代典籍……带你走进文化殿堂，感染风流倜傥和深厚儒雅；“灰姑娘”的漫画、 “丑小鸭”的童话、“变形金刚”的科幻小说……带你置身奇幻世界，让人浮想联翩，信心倍增。“腹有诗书气自华”，“书卷气”让女孩更淑女，让男孩更绅士。谈吐不凡，气质高雅，风度翩翩，一切皆因有“文化”。
三是多读书可添文采，启灵感。不读书，写作时就言之无物、空洞乏味。读书多则文章储备丰富，文思泉涌，妙笔生花，正所谓“读书破万卷，下笔如有神”。

书是一位永远的朋友，她不会背叛你，永远给予你享受，你更可以跟它同悲哭同欢乐，
还可以跟着她看遍天下风景，走过历史的风尘。
书带给我的永远都说不尽道不完。我喜欢诗，喜欢词，喜欢那一个个故事一个个人物。
我喜欢李清照的词，那自然细腻的文笔，婉约优美的文风，清新精巧的砌词，在辞赋之坛一枝独秀。轻下笔，将女性脉脉似水；浓蘸墨，将女性的纤纤柔弱刻画到淋漓尽致。柔润，润到称绝；凄美，美到无比。
我感受着她“倚门回首，却把青梅嗅”的温柔娇媚，体会到了她“人比黄华瘦”的愁苦，“寻寻觅觅，冷冷清清，凄凄惨惨戚戚。”我更佩服的是她“生当做人杰，死亦为鬼雄”的英雄气概，巾帼不让须眉。
李清照，一个女子啊！纤弱无骨之手，娇柔无力之躯，演绎之柔美，绕指缠心，凄切入骨，细腻感人无以复加。在她温香萦绕，弱吟娇叹的文字中，我们读出了一位美貌多情`才华横溢的易安居士。
在词的海洋中我们尽情的遨游，体会了李清照拿柔婉清丽的风格，我又感悟了苏轼的粗犷豪放与细腻。
在苏轼的词里，有“乱石穿空，惊涛拍岸，卷起千堆雪”的古战场景色，有“小舟横截春江，卧看翠壁红楼起”的壮丽图画，有“清溪无底，上有千仞嵯峨”的惊险镜头，有“琼楼玉宇，高处不胜寒”的高妙景象，有“日暖三麻光似泼，风来蒿艾气如薰”的农村风光，有“胸中万卷，致君尧舜”的知识分子，有“会挽雕弓如满月，西北望，射天狼”的爱国志士，有“相排踏破倩罗裙”的乡村姑娘……
那一位位古代名家，风格各异却总让人流连其中，让人看到了那一个个不同的场景。
书，总让人欢喜让人忘记了时间忘记了烦恼，书需要细细读，才能品味其中的意蕴，在宁静的夜晚，一杯清茶，一本书慢慢感受你会发现，只要有书哪怕生命只剩一天，生活也会充实而快乐。

白驹过隙弹指一瞬间，15个春秋，15个冬夏，15年就这样匆匆过去了。回首往事，不禁嫣然一笑，因为在我身边一直有一个知心的伴侣陪伴在我身边，记得亚里士多德曾说过：求知乃人的本性。而书便是我们求知的源头，我酷爱读书，读书对于我来说是无比的快乐、满足。
看一个人读些什么书就能知道他的为人，就像看一个人同什么人交往就可知道他的为人一样，因为世界上有与人为友的，也有与书为友的，所以无论是书或朋友，我们都应该选择其最佳者。一本好书就像一个最重要的朋友，它始终不渝，过去如此，现在仍然如此，将来也永远不会改变。书是最有耐心，最令人愉快的伴侣，在我们穷愁潦倒、临危遭难的时候，它也不会抛弃我们，对我们总是一往情深；在我们年轻时，好书能陶冶我们的性情，增长我们的知识，提高我们的素质；在我们年老时，它又给我们安慰和勉励。书也是我生活中最好的启迪者。
书教会我要坚强地面对挫折。岑桑先生的《溪石》中写道：下游河床的溪石总比上游河床的溪石光滑。为什么呢？是因为下游的溪石经历得多，面对的河水冲刷力强。它们棉队的挫折多，所以更光滑。于是我改变了自己，如鲁迅先生写的“真的勇士”，敢于面对淋漓的鲜血，敢于直视惨淡的人生。我成了一个坚强的人。
书教会我要做一个重视友谊的人。鲁迅先生说：人生得一知己足矣。爱因斯坦说：世上最珍贵的莫过于有几个头脑与新地都很正直纯洁的朋友。莎士比亚说：人与人之间真诚的交情是世上的无价之宝。于是，我便改变了自己，有了知心伙伴，就像马克思有了恩格斯这样的朋友一样。
书教会我要有远大的理想。“理想是路上指明的灯光。没有理想，就没有坚定的方向；没有坚定的方向，就没有生活。”为了真理而暴尸于罗马街头，死去却脸带微笑，这是布鲁诺的亲身遭遇。于是，我便有了远大的理想。
书教会我要看穿敌友。著名作家刘墉的《人生的真相》一书中有这样一则故事：有一位著名的驯兽师，他驯出来的老虎就像猫一样乖，而且他有一个拿手的绝活敢把头伸进老虎的血盆大口中，他在观众的掌声中表演了上千场，可是，最终死在了老虎的口中，原因是他上场前不小心割破了下巴，老虎闻到了血腥味。这则故事告诉我们：老虎毕竟是老虎，它不可能成为猫；敌人毕竟是敌人，它不可能改变敌人的本质，在化敌为友的过程中，丝毫也不能放松对敌人的警惕。于是，我学会了结识好友。
15年了，我一直在书海中航行。它教会我的绝不止以上几点，它带给我的欢乐、感动，犹如天上星、地上沙那样多。我感谢书！
朦胧中，她向我走来，她不是水中月，镜中花，她实实在在，她是金庸、古龙所描绘的剑客。她是琼瑶笔下的多情少女，她是席幕容书中的如诗天地，她是谁？是书！一本本绚丽多彩、饱含真理的书。
