we, as school students, can also join in recycling activities to protect the environment. for example, our class set up a recycling center beside the back door, it is very useful. it is used to collect the waste paper and plastic bottles. in the past, our classmates used to throw all of these into the trashcan. at the very beginning of this collecting activity, it was not so warm-welcomed. later, more and more people were influenced by the others and joined this collecting activity. gradually, all the students in our class form a good habit to protect the environment. all of us will now put away the reusable things instead of throwing them into the trashcan.

Personally, rubbish has been a big headache in Beijing. In our life, a lot of rubbish , such as waste paper, plastic bottles ,batteries and so on , is produced every day . After we learnt the passage Make Our Environment More Beautiful , we found a lot of rubbish thrown into dustbins could be recycled in fact during our discussion. So we thought it would be better if we could classify rubbish . we told our idea to our teacher and he supported us very much . We became volunteers to classify rubbish . Firstly we got three big boxes and put them in a corner of our classroom . One is for waste paper , one for plastics and Coke cans and the other is for batteries . With Teachers help ,soon all the students took part in the activity of classifying rubbish .In a month , we collected three boxes of paper , a box of batteries and a box of plastics and Coke cans .We sold them for 28 yuan and bought some young trees with the money . We planted the trees around our school . We were all spoken highly of by our school principals. Now we keep on the job and are all proud of improving environment .

If we dont take action to show respect to the environment, we will have to face an increasingly awful situation. Measures should be taken to protect the environment on which we are relying. First governments should forbid destroying vegetation, rivers and lakes, oceans, as and the atmosphere as well. Second voices should be made to announce the public of the importance of protecting the environment. Third enterprises should pay special attention to the effect they have on the environment and work out solutions for the problems. That is a small village of Yunnan province. There are many mountains, forests and rivers. If you go there, I promise you will be amazed by its beautiful landscape. When I was a teenager, I often climbed these mountains and jumped into clear and clean river for a swim with my peers. However, after my graduation from high school, I came to Beijing for college. I found something different. Because when I raised my head, the sky’s color was not blue, but yellow. When I looked down, dirty and poisonous rivers are full of unrecyclable rubbish and giving out unpleasant smells. When I looked forward, so many people wore their mouth masks. Everyone here complains weather and environment. It seems so inharmonious between man and nature. Why?
As we know, in the past few centuries, human have made countless remarkable achievements in science and technology to explore the mysterious world better. Conquering nature with powerful tools, people have achieved material prosperity. Meanwhile, environment has been badly damaged. So a series of severe problems come along, such as species extinction, energy crisis, incurable diseases, the three main pollutions etc. All of these factors bring our beautiful planet disasters, humanity as well. Let me show you some statistics. According to the report from World Wide Fund for Nature, the species of entire world have declined by 52 % since 1970. That means about 75 kinds of precious species disappear forever from the Earth each day. In addition, scientists claimed that human now need one and a half Earth to meet the demand for natural resources. Another frightening data from the UN in 2022, there are almost 8.4 million people around the world who die of cancers caused by environmental issues every year. It is so horrible, isn’t it? Man has taken too much from nature, also paid such a heavy price for it. If we don’t try to change these situations, what will happen one or two centuries later?
But, fortunately, the majority throughout the world are aware of the significance of environmental protection. Much many individuals, environmentalists and organizations have taken actions spontaneously. Companies donate part of their profits to support some green projects. Moreover, Government has carried out many policies to conserve endangered species, support green industries and encourage people to live a green life. From a global perspective, though it is a long journey to make the Earth recovered and to live in harmony with it, I do believe that, with everyone’s efforts, we will finally get there.

Deforestation removes old growth trees that cant be replaced. Too much fishing may harm fish populations to the point where they cant recover. We are too careless in taking what we want without giving anything back.
There are more people than ever, living longer that ever. So is it any surprise that many areas suffer from too much development? Anyone living in or near a city has experienced urban sprawl. There is a new shopping area on every corner and new houses, townhouses and apartments everywhere. Traffic gets worse and worse because planners cant keep up with growth. Keeping up with human demand is hard enough. Environmental concerns come in last.
With growth comes pollution. Companies and communities dump waste into water. Landfills are full of trash. Emissions from factories pollute the air. Barrels of industrial waste and worse, radioactive waste, have no safe place to go. If were not careful, we can harm our planet beyond repair.
People need to respect the Earth and try to preserve it. If we dont, what kind of future will we have?

First governments should forbid destroying vegetation, rivers and lakes, oceans, as and the atmosphere as well. As we know, most knowledge we have comes from two sources: the books or personal experience in our daily life. Each one has its advantage. Maybe some people think that book knowledge is more important than experience knowledge. However, I am strongly against their opinion. I consider that experience is more useful.
Firstly, practical experience can help us find jobs successful. There are two kinds of people: experienced employees and college graduates, if you are a manager, which one do you prefer? There is no doubt that you will choose the experienced employees. Because they have more practical knowledge, they understand what their companies needs and how to make profit for their companies. Some college graduates have learned much book knowledge, but they can’t take advantage of these theories effectively. Therefore, many companies are not willing to employ graduates. This phenomenon tells us experience is more important for us to find good jobs.
Secondly, experience can give us more impressed knowledge. It’s said that one learn by doing, if you want to make advances, it’s necessary to practice. Moreover, we learn how to get along with others or how to have self-respect from experience. We feel happy and sorrow directly from experience. The precious knowledge absolutely can’t get frombooks.
Thirdly, our country’s development depends on innovation, which comes from experimentation. Comparing Chinese education system with American’s, we know that Chinese education usually pay more attention to scores students get and neglect their ability of innovation. On the contrary, American education emphasizes personal practice, that’s the reason why the progress of American technology is so rapid. The contrast reminds us of the importance of experience knowledge.
Needless to say both learning sources have their own advantages. But in my opinion, experience knowledge is more important, because without practical experience, it’s impossible to get a real understanding of book knowledge, and to know how to apply this knowledge to real situations.

Because of the differences in environmental policies， resources and technology， international cooperation could provide quicker results and have a greater impact on bringing resolution to environmental problems for nations of differing environmental policies and of lesser resources and technology。 By pooling international resources and technology to address the environmental problems， the disadvantaged nations are provided the assistance needed。 Otherwise their environmental conditions deteriorate ultimately affecting the resources and environment of the world as a whole。
One of the difficulities to an international resolution to environmental issues is the difference in individual nations view and policies toward environmental protection。 In order for international cooperation to occur and succeed， the nations of the world must submit themselved to international standards and supervision by an international mission elected by the participating nations of the world。 All members must agree to abide by the standards established。
The environmental issues facing each country are not unrelated to the well being of the rest of the world。 The impact is long term and international in scope。 Without international cooperation and agreement to address such environmental issues as glacial melting at the South Pole， depletion of the ozone layer， water pollution， air polution， etc。， the environmental conditions of the world will deteriorate to the detriment of every nation， not just those that ignore or lack the resources and technology to resolve their individual environmental problems。
